Walk Worthy

Verse 1
With a scroll of paper, a pen in his hand, Writing to the churches all abroad.
So many are still are wond’ring what they were called to do,
To follow him as he had followed God.
Paul thought of what to say to those who had past his way,
To keep the fight in the coming days;
With the Holy Spirit guiding, his letter came with haste;
And in the letter was this simple phrase:

Chorus
Walk worthy and serve your God;
Walk worthy with every step that you trod;
Though the road ahead is difficult and quitting is so easy;
Remember that we have all been called to walk worthy.

Verse 2
Nearly two thousand years have passed and God’s Word is still true;
His calling for us all is still the same.
So many still are wond’ring without a ray of light;
Upon their shoulders lies still grief and shame.
We are called to be a light to share His gospel in the night;
To withstand the darts, proclaim His Holy Word;
And though trials will come our way, we can stand and gladly say:
We have kept our calling by the Lord.
