ELVIS PRESLEY WELCOMED IN HAWAII WITH ALOHA SPIRIT (Raw Footage/January 1973)

On January 14, 1973 Elvis Presley performed to 1.5 billion viewers in his worldwide concert, “Aloha from Hawaii via Satellite.” According to Elvis, he chose Hawaii for this global event because the Hawaiian islands was always his favorite place to be on the planet. Elvis claimed the island natives and their genuine 'Aloha Spirit' made him feel comfortable and safe, Hawaii was the only place where people respected his space. Elvis filmed three movies in Hawaii; “Blue Hawaii” “Girls Girls Girls” and “Paradise Hawaiian Style.” Some of Elvis's biggest hits were from these Hawaiian themed movies; “Can't Help Falling In Love” “Blue Hawaii” and “Ku-U-I-Po.” The following is raw footage of Elvis being welcomed by the people of Hawaii with their 'Aloha Spirit' in January of 1973.
