Argentina was once one of the world’s richest countries, but mismanagement and a lack of planning turned it into one of the most volatile of economies.
Its foreign debt is growing, with more than $40bn owed to the International Monetary Fund. And there is a big bill outstanding to European countries that dates back to the 1950s.
So, will Argentina ever be able to pay its debt? Argentina’s Foreign Minister, Felipe Sola, talks to Al Jazeera.
