Air Vest Myth Busters - My Horse Will Spook
The #1 question we get asked is, "Will my horse spook when my air vest goes off?" Most people are convinced they will. In fact, the majority of horses have no reaction at all or a very small one. Usually it's the rider that flinches more than the horse. The sound of an air vest deploying when a rider is falling is the last worry a rider should have. The jump or the fall itself causes the most noise and the horses are usually reacting the the rider on the ground (not where they're supposed to be!).
