Music Director Uttam Singh on S.D. Burman Dada - Part Three

In this final video Uttam Singh ji on Burman Dada, he tells us how Anand Bakshi was given a tune by Burman Dada and how Anandji struggled hard before he could write lyrics matching to the tune.

Uttamsingh-ji also narrates how Dada rejected the extensive music composed by his arranger as accompaniment to the song. Comparing his song to a 'dulhan' (bride), Dada told the arranger, that, when the bride is so beautiful, she does not need too many ornaments (too much music). That was the confidence of Dada about his songs' appeal to the masses.
