So, is the whole 'ice bullet' thing real? Short answer: No. Some guys tried making them using gel and liquid nitrogen because regular ice was too fragile. They even coated the bullets so they wouldn't melt.

They took the shot, and... fail. The dummy didn't get hit by the ice at all. It was just the wax casing that hit it. The heat and pressure from the gun literally disintegrated the ice before it even left the barrel. Even shooting up close didn't work. It’s physically impossible.
