Laid Back - Sunshine Reggae (12“ Version) ♫ dance mix

Laid Back is a Danish electronic music duo group from Copenhagen, formed in 1979. The duo consists of John Guldberg (vocals, guitar, bass) and Tim Stahl (vocals, keyboards, drums, bass). They are best known for the hits "Sunshine Reggae" and "White Horse" from 1983 and "Bakerman" from 1989.
Their debut album, simply titled Laid Back, was released in 1981, and the single "Maybe I'm Crazy" became a number-one hit in Denmark.
The next year, the single "Sunshine Reggae" was released, and became another chart-topper in their home country; it was later included on the band's second album, Keep Smiling, in 1983, and went on to become a number-one single in Italy, West Germany, and nineteen other countries around the world.
The term "sunshine reggae" didn't come from a single idea, but of many ideas that had close ideas. Many CDs that played tropical forms of reggae had the word reggae on it (i.e. reggae and sun, reggae sun splash, etc.). A reggae festival in Jamaica called Reggae Sunsplash also had a similar idea. The Danish band Laid Back made a song titled "Sunshine Reggae" with a tropical-feel, and since then, most tropical styled reggae has been known as Sunshine Reggae.
Ever since reggae defined itself as a pop genre, and it became popular, reggae was one of the most known genres of the Caribbean. People began to play reggae all over the Caribbean, and local reggae bands started to play reggae that went along with the background, and eventually started to play reggae songs to play along with a tropical feel.
