Hello ppl, another cover is here.. this time on the menu INCUBUS - a huge influence of mine, their album Science was one of my first eye opening album purchases.. you know..not including Celine Dion, Roxette and the lion king sound track 😜

this specific song off of “Make yourself” reminds me a lot of Thailand - At the time, I just broke up with my boyfriend and was incredibly depressed.. I was crying all the time, and my mom decided that instead of sending me to a shrink she would add me, last minute, on a trip my brother and his wife & my sister and her husband were taking together to Thailand. lol. Talk about your fifth wheel.

Well I was just getting into this album at the time, and this song was my absolute fav. While in Thailand and constantly listening to this song, I realized how much I loved drums… there’s a pretty strong live scene over there, and every place I saw a drum set I would request to sit in and play with the band. LOL I don’t know where I got the nerve. I would NEVER do that today. I remember in one of the places I tried to adjust the hi hat, then couldn’t figure out how to properly close it and played the whole song with loudest slushiest hi hat you can imagine.. no one could hear anything but hi hat. 👌 pretty sure they learned that next time when a strange girl comes to ask if she can sit in for a song, to respond with a firm NO. lol fun times.
