Introducing Cassandra with Hadoop | NoSQL Database for Big Data | Lecture 25

This lecture is all about Apache Cassandra which is a another NoSQL Database designed to handle Big Data on Hadoop with no single point of failure which makes it the most highly available NoSQL database choice for your application. We have seen what is Apache Cassandra, how the data is stored in Cassandra, CAP Theorem in detail, features of Cassandra, its real world use cases and how we can integrate Cassandra with Hadoop Ecosystem.

In the previous lecture we have seen working with HBase on our Hadoop Cluster installed on HDP Sandbox where we have created HBase table and loaded the data using Pig script by integrating the Pig with HBase on our Hadoop Cluster. We have downloaded the required files from the below commands from remote Git repo and uploaded to HDFS, then we have started the HBase services on our HDP Sandbox and ran the Pig Script on the cluster.
