Anytime we hear Michael B. Jordan’s name involved with a project, we get instantly excited about the possibilities. Now that he’s confirmed for the producer role on DC and Milestone’s Static Shock movie, well, let’s just say the hype’s reached newfound levels! Outlier Society is about to build its very own cinematic hero universe.

All this rides on the success of Static, a character you remember from Sunday morning cartoons on the WB channel. Warner Brothers and Cartoon Network were big in promoting him in a prime time spot. So many fans grew up with that show. What you’re probably forgetting is the decades of history before his television debut. He’s an icon (pun intended) for the DC comic’s branch Milestone.

With all the new content coming out about this famous black superhero, ScreenRant figured it was best to highlight his history and comic book roots.
