Tesla Shows Sneak Preview of 4680 Battery Production in Giga Berlin

Today Tesla released a sneak preview of its 4680 battery production in Giga Berlin, in what looks like a recruitment video from the Tesla cell team with some new shots we haven't seen before.

The video was shared by our friend Jurgen, who regularly tweets Giga Berlin news at @GF4Tesla handle.

People commenting under the video, say they thought it was supposed to be Tabless design? That looks like D-cell alkaline. What do you think? But I think Tabless refers to the internals, exterior looks like an old school battery.

We can also conclude that Tesla has started the 4680 battery cells way ahead of the Battery Day (in September 2020) as Tesla needs every battery it can get.

Here is another thing we can conclude from Tesla's effort to hire battery specialists for Giga Berlin. Jobs are already being advertised without a building application having even been submitted. You can see how difficult it is to recruit staff.
