ICAS Science + 50 words a week = EduTest advantage

Most students preparing for EduTest focus on maths and reasoning. They completely ignore the two things that actually separate top percentile scorers 👇

Thing 1: Vocabulary. Students get tripped up by verbal reasoning because they've never done vocab lists. For Year 11 EduTest, you need about 5,000 words. That's 50-100 new words a week. No shortcut around this.

Thing 2: Scientific thinking. Enrol your child in every scientific competition available. National chemistry quiz, geography quiz, ICAS science. All of them. Not just for portfolio. These tests develop the exact problem-solving thinking that EduTest scenario-based questions require.

The EduTest itself isn't trickier than AAS. The challenge is scoring in the top 5%. And the students who get there are the ones building vocab and scientific reasoning while everyone else just does practice papers.
