Joe Biden says Trump's impeachment up to Congress, names more cabinet members | FULL

U.S. president-elect Joe Biden said on Friday that he’s focused on doing his job and prioritizing the COVID-19 pandemic response when asked about House Democrats’ intention to move forward with articles of impeachment against U.S. President Trump as early as Monday in light of the recent pro-Trump riot that took place on Jan. 6 at the Capitol building.

Biden added he has believed for long time that Trump is not fit for office.

The comments came as Biden named his latest cabinet members, calling on the U.S. Senate not to delay their confirmation and to move forward with it ahead of his inauguration on Jan. 20th.

President Donald Trump indicated he will not attend the inauguration after he finally conceded to Biden on Thursday, a decision that Biden welcomed and said "it's a good thing" he's not attending.

Biden nominated Boston Mayor Marty Walsh for the secretary of labour position in his cabinet and Rhode Island Gov. Gina Raimondo for commerce secretary.
