C’est l’heure du “Cappuccino Time”

Aujourd’hui, on parle du Derby della Capitale. Mais pas la version touristique. La vraie.

Premier fait que peu de gens connaissent : l’AS Roma est née en 1927 sur ordre du régime fasciste. Mussolini voulait un club puissant pour rivaliser avec Turin et Milan. Il fusionne trois clubs romains de force. La Lazio ? Elle refuse. Elle existait depuis 1900 et n’avait d’ordre à recevoir de personne.
Dès le départ, deux ADN radicalement opposés.

Les couleurs parlent d’elles-mêmes. La Lazio joue en blanc et bleu ciel, en hommage à l’idéal grec et olympique. La Roma en rouge sang et jaune or, les couleurs de l’Empire romain. L’Aigle contre la Louve de Romulus et Rémus.

Géographiquement, la Lazio s’ancre dans les quartiers bourgeois du nord. La Roma conquiert les quartiers populaires,Testaccio, Trastevere, le cœur battant de la vraie Rome.

Et ils partagent le même stade. La Curva Nord pour la Lazio, la Curva Sud pour la Roma. Les deux virages se font face. À chaque derby, ce sont deux “Rome” qui se regardent dans les yeux.

Today, we’re talking about the Derby della Capitale. But not the tourist version. The real one.
First fact most people don’t know: AS Roma was born in 1927 on the orders of the fascist regime. Mussolini wanted a powerful club to rival Turin and Milan. He forcibly merged three Roman clubs. Lazio? They refused. They’d existed since 1900 and took orders from no one.
From day one, two radically opposing identities.
The colours say it all. Lazio play in white and sky blue, a tribute to the Greek and Olympic ideal. Roma in blood red and gold, the colours of the Roman Empire. The Eagle against the She-Wolf of Romulus and Remus.
Geographically, Lazio planted roots in the bourgeois neighbourhoods of the north. Roma conquered the working-class districts (Testaccio, Trastevere) the beating heart of real Rome.
And they share the same stadium. The Curva Nord for Lazio, the Curva Sud for Roma. Two ends facing each other. At every derby, two Romes stare each other down.
