We took RJ up her first 13,000 foot mountain (pediatrician office approved 😂)! We decided to tackle something shorter by hitting up mount Sniktau (around 3.7 miles roundtrip) so baby wouldn't spend too long at that elevation. We closely monitored the weather and found a gap in the wind when it was 15 mph in the morning. The next day the wind was predicted at 70 MPH 😶. We bundled up RJ in her fleece base layer, patagonia baby bunting suit, mittens, booties, and hat to keep warm. Not filmed was her feeding before we started as well. She did great hiking up and at the top (wind was not bad at all on summit!) but hiking down, baby was not a happy camper. So I belted out Bohemian Rhapsody at the top of my lungs and she eventually took a cozy nap despite the wind picking up. More posts coming on her first 13er adventure!
