The talk was presented at FORENSICS@NIST 2022 Workshop Session entitled "Mass Spectral Interpretation – Tips and Tools for GC-EI-MS and High-Resolution MS Data."

The presentation highlights the use of the NIST EI hybrid search for the identication of a PCP-related unknown. The identity was determined from using accurate mass data, chemistry, NMR, ChemSpider, and the CAS Registry (SciFinder).

In addition the basic tools and approaches utilized by Eastman Chemical Company for identifications of organic chemicals was discussed. Many training videos are availabe for the NIST search software, chemical ionization, derivitization, etc.
