Recovering from COVID-19 in NYC 😷 March Vlog
March was nothing if not eventful. To kick it all off, I said goodbye to a brand I've been working with for years—an admittedly scary freelance career move. We witnessed the dazzling city skyline at Westlight (a definite high) and tested positive for COVID-19 (a definite low). After weeks of recovery, we celebrated E's birthday and caught the first hints of spring here in Brooklyn. Of course, there were lots of chill, cozy moments in between. I hope you enjoy!
📌 Regarding the COVID-19 experience: This video reflects my own experience and is not meant to constitute any kind of official commentary or advice. We were able to trace the virus back to a single encounter that was, unfortunately, unavoidable. The person knew they were ill, but didn't know they had 'rona, so they didn't say anything. That's why it's so important to get tested if you're not feeling good. While recovery felt like hell, we were lucky that we didn't have to go to the ER. We plan to continue wearing masks and following protocol here in NYC. Be safe out there, friends.

As promised, my ULTIMATE ELIXIR ✨🍋
- 3 sliced lemons
- 2 tablespoons of grated ginger
- 2 cloves of minced garlic
- 4-5 shakes of cayenne pepper (the more you can handle, the better)
- 5 cups of water
Simmer all ingredients until lemons are soft/pale. Strain portion into a mug, add honey until you can tolerate the taste. The mixture can be stored in the fridge and reheated up to 24 hours.
