Living with Epilepsy and Angelman Syndrome

“I really wish that my son would call me ‘Mum’.”

At 13 years of age, Blaze is unable to form complete sentences or take care of himself. He relies heavily on his mum Irene who is also his main caregiver.

Blaze has epilepsy and Angelman syndrome and he will continue to have intellectual limitations and severe speech impairment throughout his life.

This a story about a family’s journey of hope and enduring love.
