Learning to Draw Albrecht Durer’s Praying Hands

In this video I make a study of Durer’s famous drawing Praying Hands.
First I tried to match the blue ground using acrylic paint. The gouache sits on top of the acrylic without soaking in allowing for corrections. Since I don't often use gouache this was a good learning experience in using only two colors. Acrylic paint, Gouache, 140lb watercolor paper,
Nylon brush, porcelain palette, graphite transfer paper.
