War Thunder - The IS-2 is an INCREDIBLE Heavy Tank!

The IS-2 is a Russian 5.7 heavy tank, and is the first in the heavy tank line to carry the famous 122mm cannon that a majority of Russian tanks sport. This cannon fires a shell with max 205mm pen, and a fantastic 160g of explosive mass inside of it. 9 times out of 10, if you penetrate a tank, that tank is knocked out in one hit. Also, this is one of the few cannons at this BR that has the capability to punch straight through the UFP's of the Jumbo and the Panther, which is quite remarkable. However, this superb firepower comes with a big price. Your reload speed is a dreadful 27.1 seconds stock, and 20.8 seconds aced. This means that even though you have great armor and decent mobility, you have to play this tank very reserved, and carefully. You can't engage multiple enemies at once, because once you fire, your foes will know they have at least 20 whole seconds to push and neutralize you. In the IS-2, you have to make every shell count. The tank definitely requires a lot more patience, skill, and thought, to play successfully, when compared to the other tanks at your BR. However, if you know how to make the IS-2 work, it is easily one of the most entertaining tanks in the game. I may be a little biased, because the 122mm is my favorite cannon in the game, but the feeling you get each time you fire the cannon and eliminate a target in one shot is unlike any other feeling in the game. You will get to watch /many/ big explosions when you play this tank, and that's exactly what we're all playing this game for, isn't it?
