Lena Yokoyama - Anastasiya Petryshak - Bériot - Duo Concertante Op. 57 n.3 III.Allegretto
Lena Yokoyama è nata in Giappone, Anastasiya Petryshak in Ucraina.
Lena Yokoyama is from Japan, Anastasiya Petryshak from the Ukraine, but a common passion for the violin brought them both to Cremona and the "Claudio Monteverdi" Music School. They are now studying with Salvatore Accardo at the "Walter Stauffer"
Academy, as part of the specialization courses. The Stradivarifestival's concluding matinee is a homage to Charles-Auguste de Bériot. A teacher of Henri Vieuxtemps and primarily famous for having married the opera singer Maria Malibran, dé Beriot has left a body of work based mostly around pieces for the violin. In the Duos, a strong romantic vein finds expression in a lyrical melodism where the alternation between the two performers, with plenty of virtuoso cues, represents a gracious and erudite dialog, just as in the elegant drawing rooms of the 19th century.
