Israel Strikes Beirut as Fragile Ceasefire Starts to Crumble

At least two people were killed and 11 others injured after an Israeli airstrike hit Beirut’s southern suburbs, marking the first such attack since the latest ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon came into effect.

Israel said the strike targeted a Hezbollah command site in response to rocket fire from Lebanon, while Lebanese media reported significant damage to residential buildings in the Al-Mreijeh area.
