Building the Ultimate DIY Cinder Block Patio & Deck!

I have been wanting to update this empty, boring corner of my backyard for ages. I dreamed of a raised wooden deck to sit and drink my morning coffee on, but hiring a contractor was way out of my budget. So, I took matters into my own hands and got super creative!
Instead of digging post holes and pouring concrete footings, I used heavy-duty cinder blocks to build a solid, level foundation. It was like playing with giant, heavy Lego bricks! I even stacked them up high on one side to create a custom built-in coffee station. Once the block foundation was secure, I laid down this gorgeous, warm-toned wood decking. It completely transformed the space in just one weekend!
To give it that luxury, high-end feel, I installed hidden LED strip lights around the bottom edge. Now, this is the coziest spot in my entire house. My golden retriever is constantly bringing his toys out here to relax with me while I read or sip my coffee. 🥰
