"Termux-change-repo" on ANDROID 7+(8) / Update issues! Use "Workaround" - Downloadmanager: F-Droid

No more Updates for Termux without error/issues. Use this workaround if u Don't want to completely uninstall & delete TERMUX on ur ANDROID 7/8 Version. Notice Termux don't run anymore on ANDROID 5+6!

This will not change the urls of other package repositories, to change those run:
"pkg install termux-tools"

afterwards and use:
"termux-change-repo"

or manually edit their files under:
"$PREFIX/etc/apt/sources.list.d"
directory.

The Video shows how to work with TERMUX & KALi on ANDROID 8 with "youtube-dl". In german I explain some important tips and the main issue. Do not use g00gLe PLAYSTORE to install TERMUX (issue comes back!). Googl3 do not support TERMUX anymore, since Issue on ANDROID 10!

Use "F-Droid.APK" to download & new install TERMUX (after complete Deinstallation TERMUX incl. ADDons like "Termux.API" , on ANDROID.

Google Play variant is deprecated, doesn't receive updates and contains issues as well as outdated repository URLs.

Before migrating to F-Droid Termux version, uninstall the application and all add-ons like Termux:API, Termux:Styling, Termux:Widget and others.

This is a required step because of signature mismatch between F-Droid and Google Play variants. If you need to back up data before uninstalling app, you can use suggestions from

What you should do as Termux user (only for Android 7+)
You need to pick a one of the available mirrors by using utility termux-change-repo or manually edit sources.list by replacing the Bintray URL with value obtained from Termux Mirrors List.

Beware of third-party scripts claiming theirselves as repository fixers! They could install untrusted GPG key and redirect your Termux installation onto malicious repository. Official tool for changing repositories is bundled within Termux and called termux-change-repo.

Usage of termux-change-repo is simple:

Select one or more repositories for which you want to change mirror by tapping "space" and navigating over list by up/down arrow keys. Tap enter to confirm the choice.

Before starting DOWNLOADING it is easy & nice to mount the "SD-CARD" in KALi.
--
1.) You have to install a Editor in TERMUX for example: NANO or VIM, etc.
^^ command: "pkg install nano"

2.) Open the "Start-File" in TERMUX in your new installed EDITOR (nano).
^^ command: "nano start-kali.sh"

3.) Search following two Lines in Editor NANO, VIM... :

4.) Edit the "#command" Line. Therefore just delete/erase the "#" Symbol in first row to load the Command everytime you starting KALi. U can also save it both with other Name to get switch between Load SD-Card & not load SD-Card.

5.) Exit & SAVE File changes - then TEST start of Kali with SD-CARD - Folder:
^^ Command for TEST/RUN: "./start-kali.sh" -- after start: "cd /" (root Computer) -- change to SD-Card Folder: "cd /sdcard/MYownTERMUXfolderNAME/...YOUR FILES...
