Arduino LCD Counter: Build a Button-Triggered Interrupt Project

Two buttons. One LCD. A live counter that responds to hardware interrupts — here's how to build it on an Arduino.

In this project you'll wire an Arduino with a 16x2 LCD display and two push buttons to build a counter that uses hardware interrupts on pins 2 and 3. When a button is pressed, the interrupt fires instantly — pausing the main loop to handle input — and the updated count appears on the LCD screen. An LED indicator toggles with each button press.
