.NET Live Coding: Community Day
Join me on my extended lunch break for a community-focused stream. We have conversations surrounding technology and software development.
# Chat Rules
The rules are fairly simple, but I will provide a little bit more detail here.
## Rule of One1
The overall rule of thumb is to be respectful to the streamer, other viewers, and yourself. If you think your comment might not adhere to this, just choose not to post it.
## A little more specific
Regarding messages that I feel are a violation of this, here is what you can expect:
- **First Violation (per topic)**: The message will be deleted and you will be given a verbal warning.
- **Second Violation (per topic)**: The message will be deleted and you will be timed out for 10minutes (this can be more if it is a strong enough offence.)
- **Third Violation (or if the offence merits this)**: The message will be deleted and you will be banned from the channel.
Note that repeat offences across multiple topics will be handled in a similar fashion, depending on the circumstances. Also, not hearing the warning does not excuse the behavior.
## General topics to refrain from discussing
While these are pretty broad topics, I'm sure that you can understand what I mean in regards to them. Again, if there is confusion, just choose not to post. Or if you do post it and you get a warning, then please review the chat rules to get a better understanding of why the message may have been deleted.
- Anything in violation of the [Twitch TOS](https://www.twitch.tv/p/en/legal/terms-of-service/) (which may or may not include other topics posted below)
- Politics
- Hate speech
- Berating/Bullying others
- Trolling with the intent of derailing the streamer. *This is highly subjective and circumstantial, so I will be much more lenient with this. But I simply ask that you find a way to enjoy the stream in a different way.*
