So the Bee Movie is actually a trial movie! Who knew?

The Bee Movie is about Barry B. Benson (voiced by Jerry Seinfeld) a bee who just graduated from bee college. He is quickly becomes disillusioned at his his only career choice: making honey. On a special trip outside the hive, Barry's life is saved by Vanessa, a florist in New York City. As their relationship blossoms, he discovers humans actually eat honey, and subsequently decides to sue them. At trial, despite no legal training, Barry tries to sue all of humanity, introduces a live bear into evidence, and allows his co-counsel to attempt a suicidal stinging of opposing counsel.

This is a wild trial.

I get asked a lot about whether being a practicing attorney is like being a lawyer on TV. I love watching legal movies and courtroom dramas. It's one of the reasons I decided to become a lawyer. But sometimes they make me want to pull my hair out because they are ridiculous.
