#73: 70's Vintage Function / Sweep Generator review / teardown
This video takes a look at the design, construction and layout of a mid-70's vintage function/sweep generator - an Exact model 566. One of the things I like about this unit is that all of the input and outputs are on the front panel, easily accessible. It is a fully discrete design, with the only integrated circuits being a handful of ua741 opamps, some 3-terminal voltage regulators, a few transistor arrays, a single 7402 NOR gate and a pile of transistors, diodes, etc. I real nice example of transistorized analog test equipment.
