Depopulation is an issue that has blighted many rural communities across Europe, with extreme action being taken by some local authorities to combat it. One of which is the 1 Euro House Scheme, which was set up in Italy in 2017. It offers buyers around the world a chance to secure a traditional home in a small Italian town for the price of a pizza slice. With the scheme in full swing, Rachel Younger visited Mussomeli, in Sicily, to find out how it works.
