ITALIAN WORDS WE USE DIFFERENTLY IN ENGLISH (and sometimes mispronounce!)
Did you know that there are some Italian words we use differently in English to how they're used in Italian? Not just that, but the fact that some of us (depending on where we're from) are likely to mispronounce them? In this video I go through some examples of these to see how different the meanings really are (and how wrongly we pronounce some of them!)!
Here's the video I made a few weeks ago discussing some English words which are used differently in the Italian language: https://youtu.be/kB4VfvwAfrA
Whilst it's true that the English language has had quite an influence on the Italian language, it's also pretty fair to say there's been considerable Italian influence on the English language, as I hope this video demonstrates!
Are there any words in your language which come straight from another language but have a slightly altered meaning? If so, feel free to comment them down below! 👇

Disclaimer: This is just based on my own personal understanding of the Italian language and how it has influenced the English language. Whilst I did do a fair amount of research for the video I cannot guarantee that what I say is 100% accurate or true in all of the UK/Italy. There also might be some more obscure meanings, but I am a native speaker of English and have been learning Italian intensively for 2 years, therefore have almost certainly mentioned the most common/well-known meanings in this video!
