Toyota bZ4X electric car 2024 review: Has the Tesla Model Y EV met its match? | Off-road test

The 2024 Toyota bZ4X is coming soon – but not soon enough for the Japanese brand, which has gone without an all-electric vehicle (EV) in Australia, flying in the face of most of its competitors. But to add insult to injury, its twin under the skin, the Subaru Solterra, will beat it to showrooms by months.

That said, when the bZ4X does officially launch locally in early 2024, it will have an even taller task ahead of it: the all-conquering Tesla Model Y. Point being, the zero-emissions Mid-size SUV segment is a hotly contested one, so it'd better be good.
