Cloudy and wet conditions persist into the early afternoon. Later, a southeast–northwest divide develops, with the south and east remaining mostly gloomy but with some brighter spells and occasional sunny intervals. Across the north and west, conditions become increasingly dull and wet as rain intensifies.
