Dirt Rally 2.0 Comprehensive Beginner's Guide: Three Basic Racing Techniques
The second in my series detailing simple yet effective techniques to getting faster. Recommended for those new to sim racing concepts and rally pace notes.

Detailed explanation of Rally racing lines: https://youtu.be/H_yBQ1Oi3Jw
1. Look ahead 0:18
Keep your eyes on the road!
2. Listen to your co-driver 1:35
Please refer to the pace notes guide link posted above. The best way to learn is to simply just play and pay attention to the icons and/or co-driver calls. Feel free to turn off icons in menu options for more realism and faster learning.
3. Late Apex Turns 3:07
I failed to mention that sometimes your co-driver will call out "late" or "early" - this is in reference to what kind of apex turn you should take. Do so! Often they will make you faster. I recommend taking late apex turns as a way to encourage slow in-fast out driving and the easiest way to prevent yourself from crashing. There's nothing wrong with taking a traditional apex, ESPECIALLY in the slow car classes as they lack power and it is much easier to take that racing line compared to the faster vehicles.
