Sales is most frequently identified as being the revenue engine of most companies and therefore it gives us great pleasure to welcome our guest Andy Jones to the show. Andy is a true sales expert with vast experience across the domain and if there is somebody to give us guidance on how to best go about finding great salespeople for our own organizations, then Andy is your man! It was clear that sales attracts a general type of character - somebody who is generally outgoing, but motivation, the ability to be a team-player and very importantly learn from mistakes are important characteristics of somebody who could be good in sales. Diversity in any sales team is very useful too. Andy reiterated that failure is a great motivation and that learning from the mistakes you make creates a well-rounded individual. There is clearly no certain way of hiring an amazing salesperson but taking what Andy mentioned into account can certainly give you some great pointers!
