How Michael B. Jordan's 'Black Panther' Makeup Was Done | Movies Insider

To play Killmonger in "Black Panther," Michael B. Jordan had to be covered in 3,000 prosthetic dots. Makeup artist Joel Harlow created Killmonger's hashmarks for the movie. The FX artist designed each in a mold, which was made from a glue-like material to stick to Jordan's skin.

Correction: The photo of an actor being given a prosthetic lip plate at 1:54 in our video is incorrectly identified. It is not Isaach De Bankolé, but rather a different actor playing a tribal elder. We apologize for the error.
