A FEW QUICK THOUGHTS:

Charleston is an incredible place to live and each area has it's own special nuance that truly needs to be understood on a local level.

The internet can be very confusing.

There are many pretty homes to view, but without a complete understanding of the layout of Charleston, then you may be missing out on what each area has to offer.

Your traffic life can also be much easier with a strategic approach to choosing what part of town to live in.

I made this video because I am serious about helping you make the right decision. Too many times I have met buyers who are considering a move but are worried about making the wrong decision because of the lack of knowledge of each area.

In some cases people have bought, and then realized they wanted another part of town. That's bad!

This is why when I begin working with buyers moving into Charleston, I make it a point to gain a complete understanding of the layout of the entire city.

Sometimes we take a 2 hour drive to get a feel, and sometimes this video paints the picture well enough.

Bottom line, before making a decision on what house to live in, knowing where the traffic bottlenecks are, how long it takes to get to the airport, local hospitals and of course, the beaches are all things that will help make moving to Charleston, SC aND living here full time the best that it can be.

Lastly, the two biggest questions I get from people new to the area are:

1. What about hurricanes?

Well, I have seen a few... I have been here my entire life. I lived through Hurricane Hugo in 1989. (I never want to see that happen again)...

This is the coast, and hurricanes do happen, but with modern technology we all get a heads up several days in advance... so don't fret too much, but don't take them lightly either (mother nature).

The biggest help I can be there is identifying where low areas and flood zones are...

And the second most popular request is...

2. What about snakes and alligators? - We don't see them too often, but this is the south, and critters do exist.

I recently had an opportunity to meet with an expert on all things wildlife in Charleston. It was really interesting... This video will answer so many questions on the subject:
