Episode 55 - Alton Brown's Aged Egg Nog
Let me say one thing.

If you like egg nog, you'll love this.

If you DON'T like egg nog, you'll love this!!!!
Serves A Bunch
12 large eggs, pasteurized if you need peace of mind
1 pound sugar
1 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
1 pint half-and-half
1 pint whole milk
1 pint heavy cream
1 cup Jamaican rum
1 cup cognac or brandy
1 cup bourbon
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
Separate eggs, keep yolks, use whites for other things.

Add yolks, sugar and nutmeg to bowl. Beat with whisk until mixture forms ribbons coming off the whisk.
In separate bowl combine dairy, alcohol and salt.

Slowly add to egg mixture
Move to large glass jar, store it for at least 2 weeks before sampling. (good luck on waiting)
The longer it ages, the better it is!!!
